Author's modification of the popular model Benchmade Griptillian by designer Mel Pardue. The blade of the Benchmade 550-1 Pardue knife is made of solid CPM-20CV stainless steel in the shape of Sheepsfoot, with a smoothly sharpened edge and a smooth butt line. The long cutting edge with a reinforced tip has an excellent cut, long-lasting sharpening and resists metal corrosion. The knife is conveniently opened with one hand, thanks to a through opening hole located on the butt.
The handle of the Benchmade 550-1 Griptillian knife is very strong and light, as it consists of double steel liners (steel grade 420J) with G-10 machined composite dies planted on them with a pleasant scaly texture. The AXIS Lock mechanism makes this knife easy to open and fold, as it has a transparent symmetrical design that is equally comfortable for the right or left hand. A small black-coated pocket clip is attached to the heel of the handle on either side of the owner's choice, in close proximity to the lanyard pass-through hole.
