Handle: Our selection of wood is very precise and meets strict standards for social responsibiliy and the environment. We select beech, hornbeam, walnut, and ash wood, among other varieties, from ecologically managed French woodlands in the Alpine region and Jura mountains.
Opinel No. 8 Alpine adventures are the same samples of the Natural line, but with slight differences in design. These knives are made from the same stainless steel used for other Opinel knives - Sandvik 12C27. Absolutely all blades also undergo heat treatment, due to which their hardness is at the level of 57-58 HRC.
All samples of Opinel No. 8 are equipped with a branded virobloc lock, which securely fixes the blade in a closed or open position.
The handles of the knives of this series have a classic shape with a slightly extended end. However, they are made entirely of beech and have a laser woodcut of a specific animal on both sides. Our range includes models with the following patterns:
